Korumburra Weekend

Well what a fabulous weekend! I don't know about everyone else but I had the BEST time. It so lovely to catch up with everyone and have all that time to just chat and laugh and eat ourselves silly! Lol! Great fun. It will definitely be a permanent fixture on my calendar for January and we were thinking July also. So everyone can enjoy the Winter experience at Korumburra also. The horizontal rain is a joy to behold!

Thank you all so much for all your help and contributions. We had a BALL!

Teddy Bear's picnic

This lovely little bear was given to me by my friend Roma as a thank you for driving her to our group. She gave it to me in the car and "he" never made it in to the house, always coming with me on any journey I undertook in my big 7 seater. Sadly that has now gone to serve another large family so the bear has made it into the house. Hopefully my new car will have a spot just right. When I was given " him" Roma told me his name was Mitch ( after Mitch in " All Saints" ) and he was sporting a cowboy hat. I found the more feminine hat at a show so Mitch became Michaela. the hat has faded after being in the car but I don't think she minds. I just love Roma's bears.

Hi everyone. I am so organised for our sewing weekend. I have the two " out of the box" blocks,Henrietta Whiskars first block ( see photo ) and the retro nine patch stitchery done out. I tried to get pics of all of them but most didn't show up so you'll have to wait till Sat. I also plan on finishing the binding on a quilt and maybe a label for the "under the sea : quilt that is finally put together but not quilted. I have been very productive... think it's to take my mind offeldest son's departure for Canberra next week. Yep he got reinstated so is off for 10 months at least. My first chick to fly the nest. Looking forward to Saturday and catching up on all the news.

If you go down in the woods today.... well not quite but here is the first bear I ever made in a class with Melody. The poor thing has a bit of trouble with his glasses, they either move from bear to bear or they sit skew wiff! I love his little vest and pocket watch. The little one in between his legs is just one more I made. I wanted to see how small I could go. I think I went smaller. Thanks Mel, this is a lesson in how to post with a photo. EEEEK Have a great day.

The Village Quilters are a group of friends who get together each Wednesday morning to sew, chat, eat and enjoy each others company.  This little blog is here so we can share our projects and thoughts with the fabulous blogging world.
